For many families, the end of the flood will only be the beginning of recovery. What follows is the difficult journey of returning home, rebuilding what was lost and starting life again.
In July 2026, relentless rains and severe flooding brought widespread devastation across Assam in Northeast India. At the height of the crisis, over 7 lakh people across 12 districts and more than 850 villages were affected. Upper Assam was among the hardest hit, with Sivasagar and Charaideo facing particularly severe flooding, alongside affected areas in Jorhat, Golaghat, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Majuli, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, and other districts. Entire villages and large stretches of farmland went under water, forcing thousands of families from their homes and disrupting livelihoods and everyday life. As the water recedes, the need does not end. For many families, recovery will take time, and support will be needed long after the immediate crisis has passed.
Through this campaign, Zublee Foundation aims to stand with flood affected communities — responding to immediate needs and extending support towards recovery and rehabilitation wherever it is most needed.
